Bonjour,

Here are some free sites you can navigate on to help your child continue with his/her learning. I tried to cover our daily routines for French (reading, vocabulary, comprehension) and Math.

Games / Jeux :

https://coucou.telequebec.tv/

https://www.tfo.org/en/mini-tfo/games

Reading / Lecture :

In this section you will find different sites with listening, reading comprehension activities and books available for reading.

https://grover.concordia.ca/abra/fr/

https://www.clicmaclasse.fr/francais/lecture-ce1/

https://boukili.ca/en - This is a free site and app that I highly recommend. It allows you to keep track of your child’s progress. You can put it in English to create the account and such but all the books will be in French. Very French Immersion parents’ friendly! Plus : your child gets to dress-up his little raccoon while he/she progresses! More than one child can be placed on an account. This is more for level A to D readers but is good practice for any child at this time.

Math/ Français :

On la Souris Web you will find many math, French and sciences games. You need to select : Primaire and then premier cycle. They also give you different suggestions for other sites you can visit.

Listening / Écoute:

It is very important for your child to continue to hear/listen to French daily. In the class, I would put movies during snack and lunch every Thursday and Friday in French to get them used to different accents and different vocabulary. They are used to it. We also listen to a lot of music in French in class.

Streaming apps like Netflix and Disney+ have most of their movies and tv shows in French. You have to go in the Audio menu and if what you have selected is available in French the Français option will appear.

The sites bellow are either form Québec or Ontario and are from tv channels that offer their tv programing online.
